PT steroid name?

I was recently readind a long thread about a rat that had symptoms of a pituitary tumor. My rat has all the same symptoms and im worried we are nearly out of time. Does anyone know the name of the steroid that is prescribed to rats for PTs?

Our exotic pet vet moved away from our small city so id like to visit the clinic informed.

If I remember correctly there are two that are often used those being Cabergoline and Bromocriptine I *think*, I wish you the best of luck at the vet.!

lilspaz has also recommended dexamethasone as a first steroid shot (i think to reduce tumor swelling), followed by Cabergoline and Bromocriptine. pls search dexa in the group there were couple threads with successful outcomes.
