I feel a mix of happiness but mostly sadness while looking at the pics and video... they are heartbreaking but so happy! My Gosh, they are SOOO very lucky to have you. Poor little bugs...

There's really no reason to feel sad about it, they sure don't. They can run in the wheels, climb stuff and play. They reaally don't have many limits at all. They have adapted very well to the problems and they are healthy. It is kinda shocking to see but after adjusting to it now they seem normal. It helps having 6 the same way though.

Oh my goodness, seeing those little guys move is amazing! They are very mobile considering their disabilities. Little Turtle would hate me because I would give her a million kisses and there is nothing she could do about it! They are very lucky babies to have you as a momma.

I heard the boys screaming last night partially due to Irish the fighting boy. At 3 months old he is a total terror to his brothers. He will be neutered very soon. I moved the 6 special needs babies into a rabbit cage.

It is 41 inches long and has enough height they will be ok while turtle grows. She cannot get out of this one but can get out of the 47 inch cage.

They are still little 3 months old now. So I think they will be ok for now. They still have out time in the playpen so the dont stay in here that much.

I think hopper missed his sister turtle. They were always close and he was just grooming her away. She does not as thrilled with it. :)

They get along great and I havent heard a single scream from any of them. They have all been together since today and they act like lived together their whole life.

The hardest thing would be not kissing bellies every time they are presented - I'm sure Turtle wouldn't have any hair left on her belly if she was with me! LOL

I cannot feel sad for these guys, they look so happy and are so well taken care of, how can I feel sad? Despite the disabilities they don't care, they are eating, playing, grooming and looking adorable!!!! Love them so much, give them all a kiss for me!

Just a new video of the babies in their cage. I missed the major popcorn fest so I will have to get that again. To see them popcorn is worth a 1000 laughs.

She gets lots of them.we pet her belly when she is on her back and She is a major hand licker

****edited because my phone is mental

:thud: Oh, what sweet little muffins! I'm amazed at how fast Willow (or was it Lily) could climb!! Absolutely outstanding - of course, they are all worthy of the highest honors for just getting on with life even though they have impairments.

The fluttering of their feet to scratch itches totally killed me with cuteness.

Hopper and Roo have hair missing. I think they had some mites or somethng so I treated them for it. Yet the little scabs hopper had on his sides have healed and now he has hair loss. I would assume we have a wanna be barber in there but with these guys I cannot be to safe or sure.

We never actually had a barberer so i am not sure what to look for.

The scabs do look like they've itched from mites. I wonder if they barbered from the itchiness too? Gloom barbers and it really looks similar.

the thing is, they cant reach there so I am thinking barbering since their back legs wont reach that area due to their birth defect. Can they scratch their fur out like that? we had mites before but it was just some fur loss and not whole patches. We never had a barber here though.

I wonder if it could be some sort of skin irritation. Hopper skin is pretty pink sometimes. they cannot really clean themselves as well. I will bring some baby wipes home from work tomorrow and see if they need a cleaning.

These guys are so different to care for than normal rats. they have limitations as to the normal stuff they can do but that is it.
