I had liam at the vet last week because his penis was stuck out. So his appointment was for this morning for him to be neutered so I took Roo the pew boy with to show the vet that his willy is the same way so it must be something with the deformities they have. He asked if I wanted to have roo done as well I told him I couldnt do 300 for neuters right now so No. He most of went to ask why I would say that but the last one was around 130 i think so I could only budget one neuter today at that cost. So When I went to pick Liam up as they were doing my bill they told me that they charged me way to much on olivers visit. I said well If i would of known that I could of had Roo done. So she said "I can ask if he can still" and he did. So Roo was neutered as well. I am hoping it will help with this penis thing they have happening. I want to get the other boy done then when it comes to it I can put them with the 3 girls. Who i will probably have spayed as well.

They do not have enough skin to cover their penis. I am unsure that I would want to try to add more skin out of fear they cannot control it so we will be watching them and seeing how it goes, see if the neuter helps out at all with it. Liams testicles seemed to be way up near his penis so I wasnt sure if that contributed to it. All we can do it watch and see. This is the first real side effect we have seen from the problems so we have no idea what to do for them as of yet.

It is interesting to follow the babies. They seem healthy and happy otherwise. I hope the boys don't have chronic issues with their penises. Otherwise you may raise some eyebrows continually going back for more KY Jelly. LOL

Little Roo seems to make a mess of himself more than any of them. He rolled in some ensure I gave them. Liam looks like he is asking why did I do this to him? LOL poor boy.

I will tonight. He has a hard time keeping his balance without the neuter so I aam sure this mmakes it harderfor him.

You can see how roo's willy sticks out and the skin just stops right before.

Liam is to the left of the door the rat on the bars. You can see he isnt limited to just walking, he can climb the bars of the cage. He walks horrible but that does not stop him from walking on the bars.

They are so sweet when they sleep. He needs a name, he is the 3rd special boy.

I lube them up in the morning when I take them out of the playpen and at night when I put them in the playpen. Do you think that is enough? twice a day? or should I do it more?

It is to close to Fabian. We have fabian already. I try to keep the names not to close because I screw them up constantly LOL it is cute so i may have to think on that one LOL

Just keeping track of the babies in this thread :)

you can see their lean, they have adapted well but little turtle prefers to lay on her side and move.

Turtle is the one who is always on her side. The hammocks from the cozy corner are perfect to fill the cap from the shelf to the other hammock, she can easily crawl on her back through it.

I found her laying in this bed to eat,, she would reach over grab some food and go right back.

Lily, Willow, Turtle the 3 special needs girls, Hopper, the last special needs boy, and Trey will be neutered on March 4th. I will also try for my long awaited xrays of Hopper since I think his xrays will tell me more. I am nervous for them to go under, we have no idea what they have but I dont like the girls being intact because I fear it would be harder for them to survive as they age to have tumors removed.

Since they will all be neutered and spayed, this will make it easier for me to have all the special needs babies in one cage if the time comes that they cannot live with the other normal rats.
