We lost willow today. She has been looking just older but nothing major today she lost her battle.

Two years ago we were honored to have 7 handicap babies born in our rescue. These babies were the ones who started us officially as a rescue. we have lost most of them now, they turned 2 in December but we had willow and roo left. Sadly my sweet crazy circling fool willow passed away today leaving our Roo-boy alone. Willow knew no limits. She could climb a rabbit cage from the inside like a rat without physical limitations. She was faster than half the rats that I have and was always running in circles just because that is how she was. She was spunky and full of zest. These babies have been a blessing to our house. I will never see another rat that is like my babies. They were literally one of a kind. Their spirits were so bright that you couldnt help but be drawn to them. They were all some very special babies. Play hard baby girl. Give kisses to Hopper, Turtle, Liam, Hippo and Lily for me.

I'm sorry Miss Willow has left to join her family. These babies were so incredibly lucky to be born into your family. It's wonderful you could give her a lovely, normal life. And it's wonderful they could have such an impact on your life. :)

I got a call today about a rat that was caught in a humane trap. They were pretty sure it was a pet. I am assuming someone tossed him out and luckily these guys at the shop are amazing and took the time to catch him. They seen him last week but just got him yesterday.

I was very pressed for time Ihad to drive from my work to home which is 45 minutes, this town was kinda on the way but after getting home I had to rush 4 rats, 3 spays and timmy to the vet for surgeries tomorrow. So i didnt have time to go home and get a carrier. Luckily i had a fully intact ball though haha it did the trick.

His fur is very rough, he is very thin and probably dehydrated a bit. we gave him baby food, real food, water and some peas so he will be looking better soon. I cannot tell if he is a biter or not but he is a scared boy. A lucky one though because the right men found him <3

Hey Steve! Welcome to the rest of your life.
I love it when they have a guardian angel on their shoulder. I can't wait to see what he is like after a few weeks. :)

Timmy had the second surgery friday. I was almost in tears waiting. He does not have a left testicle it is in fact missing/gone/never there to begin with? I dont know but he is such a damn cute boy.

I am in awe over Steve. I so expected him to be a biter or mean and he isnt. He is such a sweet boy so it really pisses me off that they would dump him :(

He has changed so much. He was screaming and tensing up when I picked him up so I figured he could be a biter. But he isnt. I was about in tears over it once I see the real him. He is curious and seems to be extremely sweet. I had him running all over the chair tonight and he is just a very sweet boy. He cannot be much over 5 months old. He isnt much bigger than the wee boys we have here. Just so sad.
I cant help but wonder if there were more? I just cannot imagine what could cause a person to dump him but yet we took in two rabbits that were dumped this month ( our adoption, our pets) so I dont know why I am surprised. I guess I knew about it with bunnies here but It is our first experience with rats that were dumped. It hit me hard and made me really emotional. :(

Some people are a waste of flesh...they really have no purpose here but to make others lives miserable :( I am glad steve believes in humans even after being left to fend forr himself by one...What a strong, brave and beautiful boy he is! Give him some snuggles for me?

Oh and those babies melt my heart :) there are a couple that kind of look like the little girls we just got and look almost the same size too hehe. I have baby rat fever between seeing your babies and the new kids and waiting for gypsy to have babies...BABIES! babies everywhere! haha

Oh Steve's story brings a tear to my eye. It's really no wonder you're tearful at the moment Hope! With the worry of Timmy's surgery, babies, Steve and all the other chaos! Really no surprise. Sending Timmy my love and scritches. I want to smooch that sweet Steve and slap whoever dumped him. Says everything about them and makes us love Steve even more!
