Sometimes emotional is more than anything around here. So dont think it goes unseen or not felt. We love the emotional support just as much.

I have a tumor removal, 2 spays and 2 neuters set up for august 25th. I will having their ears tattooed so that I have them marked as being spayed since the group of girls has 14 in it.

We have Ursula at the vets office now which i should be hearing from her soon about her teeth. I left my camera with them so they can get me some good shots of her mouth if possible. i am hoping they can make this right for her.

Ursula has a soft tissue tumor on her jaw. Not good news for her. We are trying a different med, i have to go drop it off and probably pick it up tomorrow. $177.00 for her examine today and the meds will be around 40.00 I think to get from the pharmacy.

I can make out one of the xrays but the other two I cannot tell if it shows anything or not.

She will be spoiled till her time is over. I am going to make her some scrambled eggs right after I get back from dropping her meds off.

I have pred and tramadol for pain. we are getting a different antibiotic to try on her.

Ursula is very swollen I think her time is very limited. I will be picking up the new meds tomorrow the mom and pop pharmacy wasnt able to compound them today. We have her on Chloramphenicol, Pred and Tramadol for pain if she needs it.

I have been giving her scrambled eggs all day. We gave veggies and I gave them some mush. She is happy with her buddies in the playpen so we can keep her closer to use right now. Keep her in your thoughts and I will try for a new picture this weekend of her.

Earlier in the week a rescue friend asked if I could take in two girls. For her I did. I guess her sister works with the lady that was trying to get rid of them. I guess they came from New Paris, In. No clue where that is :) 2 girls who are 1.5 years old named Jasmine(black) and Josephine (white). Kid was going away to college so bye bye rats.

I was told the one girl was wheezy which she is. I am sure she hasnt had vet care so I started her on meds right away and gave her the diet that Ursula had. They had been eating some sunfeed food? 22% protein. I may toss it out to the wildlife and see if they will eat it :) LOL

Here is their cage. It has a tray that pulls out and hides the bedding and grating on the floor. Kinda a neat idea but not for rats I dont think. Yes they are in there and I am guessing this is a pretty typical life for them.

For now they will stay in here for a few days. I wiped it down with some soapy water and put a few must have for rats in there.

The white rat has some very odd markings on her face it covers part of her eye and is very faint. Both are dumbo's and little Josie has a head spot like my little Olivia whom we are losing very soon. You can tell they were not handled much so I will have to see who will be their new friends after a few weeks. I want her to recover from this horrible noise and see if they can trust us a bit.

I am so sorry about Ursula. :(

I am sure you will be spoiling her rotten (hurray for her!) for as long as she is still with you. I hope her pain meds help make things more comfy for her. :hugs:

So nice that you took these two girls in...they are going to have a much better life with you and I am so happy for them. :)

Poor lil Ursula =( You guys will be in my thoughts for sure! I just know you are going to make however long she is here for as special as possible. Give her some love for me.

Sounds like your new girls are going to be enjoying your house a lot more than their previous home. I'm not surprised. What rat wouldn't love it with you?! Hope you are able to get the wheezing down and that they can learn to trust.

Aww poor little Rocky only had a home for 2 days. ): Maybe it's a sign, he needs 3 girlfriends not 1. ;)

i think you are so correct. I toyed with fate and fate showed me I put him in the wrong house :) You would love him. He is such a love bug and so hand friendly :) He likes to boss the girls around a bit but they kick his arse often LOL

August 23rd which happens to be my birthday we will be doing an event for adoptions :) They are up to 70 vendors/rescues now so we will have tons of pictures for everyone :) I cannot wait. Trying to pick who I will bring with this time :)

Aww poor little Rocky only had a home for 2 days. ): Maybe it's a sign, he needs 3 girlfriends not 1. ;)

Agreed Velo! I think it was fate that brought Rocky home to his girls again. :)

I still feel so bad for the poor girl who was supposed to be his new girlfriend, but she passed away. :(

Rocky is going to go home and live with Theia, Pika and Rizzy! So he will have 3 Adrian's

:) This is a blessing. Velo adopted these sweet girls a few months back she even had them spayed which I love because I dont have to worry about if the owner will remove tumors or not :)

Their thread is there :) So excited and cannot wait to watch rocky in his new home with 3 girls :)

The new girls who came in the other day are pretty big for girls. Josie is just over 400g. She hates to be held so you can imagine how much she loved me weighing her.

Jazzy is a boy sized girl weighing in at just over 500g. She is very long for a girl as well. Her markings are pretty snazzy as well :)

So much lighter in person. I have both girls on meds I dont hold out much faith that Josies lungs will clear up I have a feeling she has been living like this for a while. I will keep my fingers crossed. I am having daddy of the newest youngsters neutered so he can relax a bit and not ruin his sons and I am having a boy martin neutered as well. Martin is my rat, I feel in love with his whiskers but mean as can be LOL He will be neutered and I think these two girls will be his main squeeze once he is a safer boy.

I set up 2 spays, 2 neuters and a tumor removal for aug 25th. I am getting Claire and Molly spayed I think.

Awwww, so glad to hear that Rocky officially scored his own harem. :)

It sounds like you will have a few ratties to nurse soon. I hope the surgeries go well.

I hope the new girl's lungs clear up beyond expectations.

Aww Rocky! That's so what he needs. Josie does not look impressed at all haha. Hopefully for their sake they can learn to relax with time. It's really sad when they are so neglected and/or abused. I know they could not be in better hands.

Rocky will be happy, he's gonna have some cute girlfriends. :D
Theia to beat him up, Rizzy to show him all the best place to climb, and Pika to have a nice quiet cuddle with. :3

I got him a ton of stuff today to make his stay in the top half of the DCN better during intros.
Girls will probably be mad at me for temporarily halfing their space haha!

Poor new babies you got there though, I hope they feel better soon.

I was just watching Rocky punk out Cruella she was squeaking and he was tormenting her. He wants to play so bad but these guys are just far to old. I have said it a dozen times it is like he is living with 4 grandmas but they are good to him and let him in their group so I cannot say much wrong about them. I am so excited to see how he does with girls his age. Funny part is they came from the same house before. These same people that saved momma who had your girls the wife hand feed rocky when they couldnt feed him off. Cute they will be back together even though they were never together LOL

Jazzy and Josie are sounding so much better. Josie who was the one who sounded just plain awful is sounding a lot clearer now. They still do not like me and I sit with their cage open and they dont come out.

Ursula is hanging in there and still doing well. All of them including rocky gets eggs when we feed her kinda hard to only feed her :)

we lost our girl Olivia last night she was one of my orginial music men group my first group of 20+ rats that tormented me with neuter sprees. She was just over 2 but like most rats have horrible lungs. I will miss her we have already lost almost the whole group only Allanah, John and a few others left. It has been a lot of loses here I just dont post about them on here much.

Tonight I have hippo and Maude who were adopted from me by a girl locally she is out of town and both are sickly so they are here so we can care for them while she is out of town. Poor hippo is on her last leg. I think just horrible genetics for her and maude.

That is my sweet livie in the picture. Play hard at the bridge baby girl.
