I'm not sure what you mean?
the blue and red little carrier or the black wire cage with red bottom?
if it's any of those two, the 1st one is just a toy and the second one is only a transport cage, no one lives in it.

Oh and whats the difference between the PVC coated wire and the galvanized?

pvc is a coating much like "rubber", it's actually a modified vinyl.

galvanized is to coat (iron or steel) with rust-resistant zinc, and this is something you want to stay away from when it comes to rat cages! it need painting or ideally to be powder coated.

wow!! it's been almost 6 months since I posted on my rats in pants ratties thread!!!

I guess until yesterday, I did not really have any updates other than losses and I do not do memorials so...

anyways, here's my update: got a new girl!!!!

her name is Olivia, I was told she was roughly 1 yr but I'm thinking she is probably a little younger than that.
she is my FIRST PEW...LOL
I got her at my local animal shelter, which NEVER get any rats, she was the 1st one they ever got ...lol
a friend of mine saw her on their FB page and of course, being that she was all by herself, I just had to go get her
she is a sweetie pie, fairly confident natured and very curious!
so for $30 she was mine along with a small "all living thing" cage!
(small spacing and metal base + in good condition= great spare baby/transport/hospital cage!)

is it me or the white furred rats are softer than the other colors?
