I would much rather have Dr. Munn as he knows her etc.
Olive has porphyrin leaking out her eye sockets and nose.
She really stinks as well. :sick2:
I'm afraid she might be beyond saving by Friday afternoon. :sad3:
She's not coming out when I call her and she's lethargic.
Not at all like her normal self.
I will let you know what happens.
Thanks everyone fo your help. :hugs:

Here's all fingers crossed for your very sweet (or would that be salty?) Olive!
M0onkist said:The fighting can't be a truly bad thing, it means she has life in her yet - I remember when Cera had a tooth abscess, she was an absolute BEAR to force meds into. I wound up watching Shelagh's video probably a hundred times, at least twice before each dosing.
And as for sweet or salty, I only ever like my olives salty, lol

M0onkist said:Cera's 'tooth' abscess didn't come back - it actually migrated to the outside of her face from inside her mouth, and popped out between her whiskers.
Here's the story (and photos) for reference:

I think a lot of it is dependent on the abscess draining and any vestige of pus being cleaned out, so a pocket of infection doesn't stay - of course, that depends a lot on where the abscess is located, sometimes it's just too hard to get a good cleaning in - then, you just have to use abs and hope for the best...
I'm SO glad she's gaining weight too - best sign ever!
