I decided that the babies should start meeting the big boys and I started with Captain Jack Sparrow. Davy Jones and Savvy will eventually go with the big boys so why not start introducing them now.
I let the girls too as it doesn't really matter at this age.
I started with Captain Jack Sparrow as he is the boy that is more gentle even if he is the biggest one.

Jack & Savvy on the wheel is a hoot with Savvy up in the air :lol: And Parlay & Savvy at cross-purposes is cute too.

January 1st, 2008, day 28 or 4 weeks old. The babies would have been ready to go into their families if I was a breeder. I don't know how I would handle doing this but I am glad I am keeping them all. I decided to keep them together until the weekend.

I have another set of pictures to post when the babies turned one month old on January 4. I will post them after Thursday as I am going to Montreal tomorrow to see Ozzy Osbourne.
The babies have been separated on the Saturday following New Years day. The 4 girls go along well together in their cage and at the moment, Davy Jones and Parlay are in their own cage. They are still too small to live in the Ferret Nation.
I am introducing them gradually to the big boys (Silas, Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa) and they spend a few hours with them in the big cage every evening.
Things are going well even if the big boys are showing them who's boss. I am confident that they will be able to be together soon, as soon as the babies are big enough.
The babies has not have any contact with Remus and I don't think they should meet him. I prefer keeping Remus quiet as he is very old and I don't want to stress him too much.

The blue babies are absolutley beautiful. The cream kids are so pretty I think of snow when I see them. What healthy bright eyed furkids you have. They look so healthy and have such shiny coats. I love it. :wink:

I really enjoyed taking care of those 4 babies. I enjoyed taking pictures and weighing them every day to see how they grow. I enjoyed sharing the pictures with everybody here. I hope you enjoyed watching my babies grow.
I am going to welcome to new babies soon and they will be sharing a cage with Savvy and Davy Jones. I am looking forward to have those 2 new boys and will be posting pictures when I introduced them.

I'm so glad I caught this thread! What an amazing experience. You have adorable babies and I must say, it's pretty nice that you have a real pirate in the bunch. ;D Thanks for sharing so many photos!
