Just got back from the vet.

Greg had a nice morning of strawberry ensure and rice cereal. Then got stuck in "the damn bouncy movey thing" for the ride to the vet. He spent the ride unusually cuddley, sitting in MomRat's lap and getting lots of petting and scritchies (a rare event). Our vet looked at him, commented on how bright his eyes were and how great he looked for his age as he peered out of the fleece he was in, and then went "Yikes!" as she picked him up and saw how bad his tumors had gotten. She took him back for the anesthesia and then brought him back to fall asleep with us. (Said she dosed him high enough for a 5 pound cat...Greg weighs a little over a pound.) She waited until he was asleep and not responding to stimuli before injecting him. In typical Gregory fashion of never doing anything easily, she could not get the needle into his heart, so he got the dose to his liver. Slower, but same effect. Greg went getting petted.

Your rest is well earned little boy, now go find Quilt I'm sure he has been waiting for you.
