Well, our old Greg boy (27 months) is already famous at the vet for a tongue tumor last summer (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=20438) has a new one popped up. It is at the "armpit" of his lower left rear leg and is growing fast. We noticed it a week or 2 ago as a small lump and started treating it like an abscess, but the rate this thing is growing it looks like a tumor. Off to the vert Monday morning for surgery.

Little guy has had a rough life, tongue tumor, lost both cage mates in a month, HED setting in, and is terrified of the new girls (not to mention ends up bleeding at every interaction) so he has been living alone these days.

Good luck Gregory! My girl Jazzy had her second tumour removal recently at 2.5yrs old. The oldies can still bounce back OK. Sending positive vibes your way.

Tomorrow can't get here soon enough, this thing is growing fast. We can tell it is unpleasant to the touch and it is making him limp on that leg now.

Tomorrow will post before and after weights/pic(if the little fuzzball will actually dangle for a change).

Back from the Vet, Gregory is recovering fine. =) Sent him home with 4 days of Metacam(after today). Par for the course, it was another, "I'm not really sure what that was" just like on his tongue. Fluid filled mass, which was why it grew so fast(ping pong sized today, nonexistant less than two weeks ago). Not entirely fluid filled(the fluid was brown??) and not entirely a solid mass, although there was tissue in there too. The vet said it was cystic... and just... weird. Hopefully won't come back. *fingers crossed*
