rat's are only pregnant for 3 weeks (or 21-23 days) i do believe, so if she is pregnant her due date is anytime now. you should separate her because (yes rat's make amazing mothers), but the other rats can try to steal her babies, and that can lead to fighting or death.

That's so weird.. Maybe she was abused and doesn't want people going near her babies? or maybe this isn't her first litter and someone harmed her little ones in the other litter? erm, i never heard of a momma acting like that before.

I always started the intros at 2 weeks, and moved them in at 3 weeks if they were all good! I never had any problems. The boys still try to mate, and they've been neutered for like, a year. Haha.
