Did some shuffling of my groups around as the 18 mo old boys graduated to a senior cage for better mobility access to their favourite things.
I moved the nakie boys + Porter who are happy roomies into their old cage. I was donated a 2level mouse/hamster cage that apparently had housed rats though I hope no more then 2 wee females. Anyway I cleaned that up for the degus so the two girls got the Degus old cage.
I am impressed with the new homemade shelf in the trios cage as well as decorating it for my chubby monkeys so they have to work a bit harder to move up and down the levels of their cage. They are porking up and won't use a wheel at all. So no more easy access ladders and ramps. Ropes and steeper ladders now!
Porter was unsure and unsteady at first on the rope. He's not a strong climber which doesn't surprise me as I bet he was in a tank before.
Doyle was super excited to just have 'new' stuff!
Krieger just followed Porter around
The home made shelf for those that want to see a better shot
As well this is the tool and clips I use for fastening new cages together, fixing cgaes, adding shelves or any other permanent fixtures. I bought it and the clips at TSC (Tractor supply)
These are all the supplies I used to make the shelf (TSC OR DOLLAR STORE)
