Well said Joanne. :) I agree. After Maximus got neutered, in the days following, we kept thinking, "Oh no, he is still so aggressive and mean spirited to Achilles and the neuter didn't work, etc, etc." But you are right, it is a great idea not to fret or lose hope after the surgery....things often just need a bit of time. :thumbup:

P.S. One thing we DID notice was that Maximus, who had soft fur before the surgery, has retained the softest, silkiest fur, you would not believe it. His fur feels like a little baby rat's fur. Achilles' fur is coarser. I thought someone had mentioned that the soft fur thing can be an extra bonus with ratties when they are neutered? Or maybe I am wrong, and Maxie just always had really soft fur and the neutering had nothing to do with it?
