Another week and we will know for sure. She seemed like she was further along than she is.

This was her on first day. Then two days later (sorry I don't have a picture) she looked heavily pregnant... so maybe we're just dealing with a fat belly like lilspaz said. hahaha


But I guess it would have gone down by now right?

Kayi's weight gain and body shape reminds me most of Tabi...she went up and down and up and down. She gained 56 grams at just over 24 hours when she first arrived, just eeating and drinking constantly...she originally weighed 196 g, so she gained 142 grams in 20 days.

Kayi - beige doe, very very skinny small girl, most weight to make back IMO

Jan 26 - 243 g
Jan 27 - 277 g (+34)

Feb 1 - 298 g (+4 over 2 days)

BUT here is Zima on day 17...back to thinner again

and Noshi would go up and down constantly..I was so worried about his health which was all due to starvation and malnutrition. ALL of them are normal now, Kayi is still a rather lean girl but that's her regular build with plenty of food LOL

I think there's a lot of hope for Tabi! That's exactly what happened... she just ballooned! lol

I can see that they stay bloated quite long before they slim down again.

Tuesday: 185g (initial weight)

Sunday: 276 g
Monday: 292 g
Tuesday: 281 g
Wednesday: 300 g
Thursday: 312 g

Sunday: 332 g

Tuesday: 345g
Wednesday: 345g
Thursday: 352g

She certainly feels much healthier. Her hip bones don't stick out any more.
She is playing with Juno right now so she has some rattie on rattie time. illowfight:

I think it will be harder like with my girl She as underweight so she gained fast to put on what she was missing. I could tell early that she was probably pregnant because right above her girl parts were bulging and her round was different. Here are her weights. SHe had nights she didnt gain much at all and I thought I was nuts for thinking she was actually pregnant.

She is on Day 18 from when she arrived, so its either a tiny few pups in there or she's not pregnant...3 to 5 days to go to make it absolutely sure. My guess is NOT pregnant.

She went from 276 to 346 in 12 days...total of 70 grams.

Looking back at Bronwen's healthy rat pregnancy chart, she gained 96 grams in her last 10 days. So that 70 could just be normal weight gain after being starved and emaciated.

She held steady at 352g last night. With three more days for 21 day clearance, it's looking like it's just starvation that was giving her the belly.
I am starting intros with my nakies. I didn't want to stress her out if she was pregnant, but since it's looking hopeful, may as well!

She probably gained enough body condition back that she was able to have a normal heat cycle...congrats to both of you!!!! :dance:

I know how good it feels to finally see that heat cycle. When I seen it with the 2 girls that were with the 3 boys I was overly excited. LOL I begged for it with astryd but I knew it wasnt coming. Her original weight was 149g. Her after baby weight is 215g. Her high was 280g. So it shows all the weight that went to her and what went to her babies. I hate the starved ones they are so hard to judge if they are pregnant and the last few bunches that we have taken in have been so skinny you can feel the bones in their tails. I am glad she will have friends though and friends of the correct sex is even better
