Well, the babies eyes are starting to open today! I am guessing 13 days old? 14 days? I don't know their exact birthdate, so I was hoping the eyes opening would give me the day. So happy birthday on the 15th of Oct babies!

Edited to add: Does this look like I might have a dumbo in the bunch?

And I just noticed this recently - a large scar on one of the babies' belly. Is it just extra trauma from when mom cleaned off the umbilical cord? The former owners said that three of the babies died. I wonder if mama was just too enthusiastic.

yep I noticed the dumbo baby right away...couldn't tell if there was one or two....Lucky little boy he was okay...that is some scar on his tummy

The babies are becoming more mobile, but are still not venturing out on their own. Sometimes they will come out attached to mom though! (Good suction!)

So I thought I would take a video of Petunia nursing her babies. That's what she does most of the day!

Well, I had quite the surprise today. I scooped up a baby to kiss her, and she bit me! and then she kept biting me!!!! I cannot believe that a two week old baby has enough spunk to 'fight for her life' as she must have thought I was going to eat her. Later on she was fine, so I guess I scared the begeebers out of her. Bizzare....
And Petunia's tooth is overgrown again. *SIGH* Poor little thing will need regular trims her whole life...

Sweet little babies..... except for the surprise from that little biter girl. Better watch out, or SQ and lilspaz68 will be trying to adopt her!

The babies are getting quite lively and moving around much more now. I actually have four dumbos and three standard ears. (The boy is a dumbo.)
Such little cutie pies! It's funny to watch Petunia gather up the babies once in a while. Seems like a lost cause! LOL

Honestly, all I know is that it was a dumbo. At that same time a trick-or-treater came to the door so I had to leave the baby. (They really all do look quite similar!)
So it could be one of four. There have been no repeat instances since then, so I'm not concerned...
