Our new rescue babies **updated with correct mama rat**

We went and picked up two babies, mom, and another adult female from the girl who didn't "have time to run all over trying to adopt out free rats." I sure hope all those other baby ratties got good homes.

Edit: I just looked at the bellies of the two adults, and it was pretty clear which one was mama.... NOT the one the girl told me last night! :roll:

These are the tiniest babies I have ever seen in real life! Ok.... on to the pics....

Edit: This is not mom.... this is the unrelated female. So she is Alexis.

Edit: That would make this one the mama, Lyric.

And of course.... the babies!!!! They are Melody and Harmony - not sure who is who yet. And one of them likes to run in the wheel!!!! She's my first rattie who likes the wheel.

I like Alexis' coloring, very pretty. And the babies are so chubby an cute! I love their feets so much. Lyric is a pretty girl too, good name.

(Yerp I said 'feets' 8) :lol: )

I don't want to think about where their siblings went either. I sure would have taken all nine of those babies. They are SO tiny. So far - good eaters, active, alert, and curious. Sweet little angels!

She does. The second color is kind of orangy-rusty colored. Have no idea what you'd call that on a rat.
