Dr Munn says that there could be a chance that it will take more than the removal of olive's eye to clear up the deep rooted infection.
It's pretty virulent.
I hope that removing her eye does the trick.
Olive hates taking her meds but once she starts she holds the syringe like a bottle.
She then gets crabby cause she wants more.
My little naked loves drama and certainly has personality for it.

When are you looking at having her eye removed? Its good to start her on meds first, to start working at the infection. Chlorpalm is one of those that are fantastic for penetrating things like eyes.

It's scheduled for this coming Tuesday .
Drop off at 8:00 am.
Dr. Munn gave Olive Chloramphenicol Palmitate 3x a day for 21 days.
Hope it works.
Thanx for all your concern and well wishes!! :cuddle:

Can't imagine the pain she's in poor wee girlie.
She stinks WAY worse than when I first posted. :thud: :sick2: :sick2: :thud:
I think we both will be SO happy for Tuesday afternoon.
Poor Miss Myah is still plugging along.
Her tumor is very noticeable now .
Would it be okay do you think if Myah shares Olives recovery cage?

Once you get her home after the enucleation, see how she is, Myah may be just what she needs for comfort. If not give Olive the night separate to recover from her surgery.

I had the nicest phone call from Dr.Munns receptionist.
"Hi could you remind Olive about her Enoculation surgery tomorrow morning?"
" Tell her to arrive between 8:30-9:00 am."
:giggle:
Made me laugh!!
Here's Olives eye just after the first vet visit .

Tell Olive that we are all rooting for her tomorrow.

I told Olive about your good wishes but she's kind of miffed at the moment.
Even with one good eye she still gives a mean "stink eye."
I will give her kisses from all of you after surgery tomorrow, when she's still groggy!! lol

Good luck little one! You are in good, and gentle hands with Sam.

Sharlees, the surgeries don't start until 11 or so, and end up at 2-3 pm. Depending on where your girl is in the order of things (often the trickier ones like enucleations are done at the end), but don't be afraid to call and ask how things are going. The staff are very used to it from me :p

And remember to breathe today, do things to keep busy but nothing that requires too much concentration or brainpower...
:cuddle:
