Are you able to take all of the babies to a good vet?
Azithromycin (10 mg/Ib, orally twice a day, here we buy it from a pharmacy with a prescription from the vet) and clavamox are both safe for babies

I don't know much about the medding of rats but I do know that breeder isn't a good one.. Even if you breed for "good temperaments" the babies should be handled so they aren't fearful and like being handled versus running and hiding in fear.. "Good temperaments" could just mean they are less likely to bite it doesn't necessarily mean they 'like' people..

RIGHT! They still need that socialization! They need to "learn" to trust people!

Ok.doses for your 2 babies are;

fudge - 0.14 ml.twice a day
Zephyr - 0.26 ml twice a day.

In AUS the breeders started following this feeder breeder years back who convinced them of these new methods of not handling babies to discover who had the natural better temperaments and so many breeders adopted these methods. unfortunateky the rats who failed these temperament tests were culled (mostly killed). I personally find this lazy way of breeding abhorrent. Animals do not naturally trust and adore humans so they need a bit of work socializing and being handled. Even rescue babies temperaments can totally change from babyhood to young adults and it's best to give each rat a chance at a successful and happy life. Well socialized babies usually become happy confident rats.

I was horrified when she said that. We had already been tjere for half an hour and gravitated to three rats. She said this of the ones she breeds and I couldn't believe it. She had rescued many from a hoarder and told us that several more does are pregnant and she will likely have to cull the babies.

Both boys are so much better today. Little Fudge has been running around all morning. My Sebastian has only sneezed once. Hardly any congestion noises. I'm astounded at the difference.

I've been going through the tabs on that site and I am finding it really helpful. Poor boys hadn't been socialised so starting from step 1 and bringing lots of patience. They will happily run around on my hands/arms inside the cage now. Little delights they are.

Thank you all.
