The box is mine...the cuddle sack and change will be his. I had brought in a rat that I thought might have to be pts, and I always bring a box, the little baggie of lab blocks, cheerios, and pennies that I put around their body before wrapping them up and putting them in the freezer. The vet and her staff do this for me when they euthanize a rat since this way I don't have to open up the fleece to do this for them hours later. :sad3:

I think this is very uncommon, but I will contact all the other owners with her siblings and ask about any weight loss happening to their own rats just in case.
 
I'm so sorry sweetie. I know that Dr. Munn takes excellent care of ratties, so Brigit will have been very well spoiled, and it's so nice of him to help you with the ritual to make it easier.
 
Hmm. That could have very well be what happend to Wolf just before he past away.
Everything sounds exactly the same..

Rest in Peace Brigit.
