I mean bin cage as a travel cage not as a permanent residence. Any ratties of mine will be put up in the CN long term.
However, does a bin cage make a good travel cage? Especially for long travel. Like potentially 3 hours? It seems better than a cat carrier because of the size, and much cheaper than just buying a smaller cage. All I'd have to do is buy it, cut a big hole in the top, and then zip-tie wire mesh over the hole.
I was considering this (Are the measurements okay?): http://www.target.com/p/sterilite-c...purple-latch/-/A-13794509#prodSlot=medium_1_1
It seems big enough, good for a water bottle, food, some fleece, and a nice hidey place.
Let me know!
