My baby Dumbo fancy rat named Dobby was born last November and is living a great, healthy life. However, a few weeks ago, I started to notice a little spot above her eye. It seemed to be thinning, so little that at first I thought it was a change of color. But after a week, it spread, and I could see she was losing hair. I've looked over her whole body, and she doesn't have any other spots like this, not do my other rats she shares a cage with. It keeps getting bigger and I am worried. No bumps or anything, no change of behavior, but I don't know what is going on.

It looks like her cage mates might be barbering her(chewing the fur away) it harmless and a show of dominance, I would keep an eye on her and if she continues not showing any signs of distress I think she's fine. If she starts showing signs of distress I would bring her to a vet just to be safe!

Thank you so much!!!! Tell me some about your rats?
My rats? I only have two right now and they're double rexes(almost entirely hairless) one likes to sleep on her back in the cuddle scarf I have, the other tends to sleep on top of her. With past rats I have had some that barber, one of my girls had naked legs and one of my boys had naked spots on his back from his brother.
