Just bought a Ferret Nation Cage with my Christmas money. I am sort of feeling sheepish for having bought a cage, only to build another cage around it (Basically) for my girls are DEFINITELY small enough to fit through the bars, no problem. Lol.... but oh well. I could have spent less on something that didn't need modified but it wouldn't have been as sturdy or roomy.
One thing I'm learning though.... The markup in Alaska is pretty steep because of shipping. I payed 280 dollars for a two level FN. Ouch. Worth it though.... I plan on screening the top half for my girls and putting the boys in the lower half. And it will be a cage I can continue using for a long time for a lot of different kinds of pets.

Also.... A question....

Is there a kind of metal adhering paint that is safe to use around ratties?

You can get FNs on ebay for way cheaper esp if you are in the states.
I just saw one for $161 plus $77 shipping to Canada.
There is an ebay store that sells them for $124 but they don't ship to Canada :cry:
