Why does my rat bite my face

Hey everyone I got a quick question. Why does one of my rats ATTACK my face and my ears? I guess there might be a reason. This happens ever since I got her. When she was very young I was trying to bond with her and let her come up near my face. She sniffed for a while and than preceded to out of no where rip out a bit of my cheek ( which made a horrible sound that I can never forget). Rubi bit me countless times for several reasons that I was able to figure. When she was younger she would attack any part of my body that would get near her, she was very sick and very weak at the time. I took care of her and now after 6 months I can handle her great and touch her belly, face, mouth, anywhere really, she doesn't like it but she can bare with it. So today I though MAYBE she stoped with the face biting so I got close to her and yeah I was wrong. So, thoughts?

Some rats are like that. I've had rats who went for my lips really bad and some for my toes. They are strange little fellas.
