I've never seen a rat like this, she kind-of looks siamese/Himalayan but the colour is off.

In this pic you can see right at the base of the tail it changes colours to almost like a coffee stain:p

It happens on her nose too. In this pic it looks like I'm strangling her but im not.

If this isn't the right place to post this i will move it.

Hooded Siamese possibly? Their colors darken as they age of if the temperature drops. Usually with patterned Siamese I see that lightening of the points.

Those hooded marks will most likely fall off of her and she will turn siamese. The siamese babies that came here, were capped and hooded rats when they first arrived and those marking fell off never to be seen again and they are now himi's. It is odd how it happens but it does happen in a few weeks I bet you wont see those markings at all only the siamese part of it.

They dont have a single hint of those secondary markings so they are pure himi's now. It was a strange thing to watch I was so confused but the caps and hooded parts fell off and here came the himis. It was kinda crazy. I had no idea it happened that way.

I dont see a hint of a spot on her bum. I would guess that spot you do see will go away. The dark nose spot can get dark as the other color fades but Unless she has a point appearing on her butt I doubt she will have any color there.

I have another question and didn't want to start another thread, I bought a hairless rat and the breeder says it's true hairless and not double rex but it has curly head hair, whiskers and the tiny hairs that are all over are curly. I don't really care what kind it is but I just want to know. I thought true hairless had no whiskers or hair at all and double rex had a little bit.

Hes not a baby but hes not full grown. Im pretty sure they lose their fur around 4-6 weeks if I'm not mistaken and he's older than that. Seems I forgot to ask breeder birthdates (probably because I was so excited) Ive emailed her to find out the birthday. Ill put pics of him if that helps you tell me what strain of hairless he is.

His dark spots looked blue to me and when I asked the breeder she said he is blue hooded.

Probably can't tell but his whole body is covered in the tiniest layer of fur, it gets thicker on his head and legs.

Next two pics are not my pictures, breeders pictures idk if she wants it shared or not so please don't use these pic just incase.

Yes he was.

I only had one rat that looked like a genetic hairless...but her sister was an obvious double rex so she had to be too.

This was Bella, notice almost no whiskers at all

But this was her furry, curly-whiskered sister
