Travel cage for one week

I will be bringing my two female rats on a trip with me, I've kept several gerbils but am relatively new to rats. Would a 10 gallon tank with a topper to add a second level work okay as a temporary cage for a week? Thanks in advance

Mostly tanks are not good to use for rats since rats have really sensitive respiratory systems and tanks don't have enough ventilation. I don't know how long you can keep them in there but I think the best thing would be trying to find something else to keep them in or have a friend take care of them while your gone.
