Hello all,
I wish I had more time to be active on this forum - it is such an awesome community!
Anyway, I thought I'd post a quick update on my ratties. Intros went amazingly well after the boys' neuters (two groups of three boys and the two hairless girls).
Unfortunately, I had to euthanize Mr. Turwiggles last week due to a birth defect causing him to go into extreme congestive heart failure at 10 months old. The vet said it was the worst case of congestive heart failure he'd ever seen :sad3:
I do have a copy of his rads if anyone is interested in seeing them.
Also, if anyone remembers Blabberwort, my hairless girl with the skin condition, I am happy to report that her skin is back to 100%!! Took a few months to get there, but I am so pleased with her recovery
So, now I'm down to seven ratties, and I'm so glad they all get along so well. I scored a brand-new-in-the-box DCN on craigslist for $140, woo!, and just got it all set up.
Pictures! The boys look kind of scruffy because this is immediately after bath time (which they actually enjoyed!)
Lots o' rats getting ready to check out their new digs:
DCN all set up!
Bluebell's got a nice stash in the sparkly blue igloo:
Theodore approves of the new rainbow owl bedding!
Wet rat party!! (Check out the skin on my hairless girls - so proud)
