Does anyone have any idea whether this is safe for rats or not? I have part of a bag left over from my failed attempt at growing a venus fly trap and I have nothing to do with it. I've already relinquished the terracotta pots to the rats 
and I thought they might have fun using the moss as a 'natural' bedding/something to dig in.. but I'm not sure if it's safe to give it to them. It wouldn't be a ton of it, I just have a small bag. And I would just give it to them on cage cleaning day and it would be tossed the following week when I clean them out next.
I did search online, but I didn't find anything pertaining to rats. It seems to be a pretty popular bedding material for amphibians/reptiles though.
