Of course as I am writing this thread I can't seem to remember where all the pics I have taken over the last year are  so I will just have to keep randomly adding to this thread lol. So I have 2 groups of 2 living in my last DCN.

I will begin with my oldies; Dexter and Hunter.

Dexter has been with me for 2.5 years. Shelagh, Chelle and I rescued a group of scared little brothers from the TAS. I took in 2 very timid but polite boys, Dexter and his brother Finn. Dexter will put up with cuddles but is much more content just chilling beside me during out time.

Here's Dex (left) with his brother (rip)

And with Hawk (rip)

Hunter has been with my since he was born at CCH (a rescue a friend of mine used to run for any newbies :D ) in October 2010. He and his brother Hawk grew into big handsome boys. But at a couple months old Hunter developed a head tilt so even though there was no smell or discharge off to the vet her went and was immediately put on abs. When there was no improvement we decided to try a stronger abs still thinking it was an ear infection. The stronger abs still did nothing. This is when we discovered he was different leading us to think the tilt is due to some neurological issue. During out time he would be constantly on the go and then mid run he would decide he was done and he would be out like a light no matter where he was. He also developed the talent of choking on foam or paper toys to the point where he is no longer allowed to have them. He also lacks social skills :giggle: when he meets a new rat her will walk right up to them use his paw to lift their hind end so he can have a good sniff and considering he's a big boy sometimes ends up flipping them over. It's quite a sight. At other times he will throw temper tantrums either when he wants out, wants to be left alone, wants more treats (even though he's already had 5 :giggle: ) etc. Otherwise he is a completely healthy boy and always good for a laugh.

Oh hai!

I have found him sleeping like this on more than 1 occasion

And now for the evil twins; Dixie and Pax. These girls were born at CCH (the X litter). When Dixie was a few weeks old they thought they were going to lose her. She wasn't growing and seemed to have a dark mass in her abdomen. As kind of a last ditch effort they put her on zithro and she made an amazing recovery. However due to this scare she was deemed unadoptable. These sisters came to me 1.5 years ago as fosters however it soon became apparent I was never letting them go :giggle: . These girls are crazy, I swear they run on the wheel 24/7. They love to okay but you have to be careful because they will get so into it they will pounce on your hand and power groom a little too hard. They have had cagemates in the past but it takes a very tough rat to live with those 2.

Pax is the boss. She's also very photogenic.

"Mom what is that?"

She isn't so photogenic lol

They are sweet rats...I just love Pax and Dixie...what sweet looking little girls.

They are perfect examples for how looks can be deceiving :giggle: . Pax is the best jumper I have ever had and she takes pride in waiting until I turn my back and jumping off the bed. She never tries to hide or escape though she just enjoys being a brat lol.

Sadly I had to take Dexter Monday morning to be pts due to stroke or fast progressing pt. RIP little man

Now moving forward today was cage cleaning day so I decided to take some pics, more as a record for myself when I see the cage tomorrow morning and think wtf?! :giggle:

Note Pax in the wheel. It's always the first thing she checks after a cage clean. She will actually barber herself if you take her wheel away (which I attempted a couple times just for the night so I could get some sleep).

I"m so sorry for your loss. :(
It's true, the cage doesn't stay clean for long. lol
Wow, that's pretty impressive that one of your girls is that obsessed with the wheel. Which is now something we need to add to our list of why rats self barbers themselves.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I love seeing how much fun they had the next morning. lol
All my 3 cages look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks.
