signs of fright?

What are some signs of a rat being scared/nervous? i wanna know because my rat is acting scared and just...edgy i guess.

what does it mean if your rat puts its paws on your hand, and you feel her teeth on your skin? is that a bite, or a love-nibble thing?

A scared rat will freeze, cower and shake.
When she nibbles you with her teeth in a scraping kind of way, that's the rat grooming you.

Also, does it mean anything in particular when a rattie squeaks? or could it all range from stuff meaning "I love you mommy!!" to "Put me down, I'm scared!!"? She squeaks alot so i was wondering what it all means.

You've got a talker then... usually a rat will squeak when hurt or annoyed.
