Shower gift I had fun making..

I like making friends and family diffrent gifts for wedding showers, Babys showers, and so on. Well this coming weekend is my cousins wdding shower so I made this wedding cake gift out of towels and canadian tire money. The big silver square in the middle is the gift card. I hope she likes it.

That is wonderful, years ago my Mother would make a cake out of towels and receiving blankets for baby showers. Nice to see that Idea still lives...

I love making these cakes, I've also made diaper cakes for babys showers. My mom bugs me to start making things like this as a side job, but I really don't think there is a market for it. Well at least not up here in Harriston were I can see the other side of town lol. Maybe one day when we move back to the city.

Pshuga03 I just kinda came up with the idea from pictures in books and on the net. The flowers are an idea I came across when looking up diffrent origami ideas for the kids.
I found the towels were 10x easyer than diapers all you have to do is roll and stack.

I don't have the kinda money to make the roses out of really money so I used canadian tire money. Works just as well.
I'm lucky enough to look at a picture of something and make my own.
