Earlier one of my males started acting somewhat not normal... that was late last night and now he is drooling also very out of it.... he's not moving much and when he does it's just sudden jolt. His breathing is not normal or good at all( he gasp). He's breathing w mouth open... he has been in this state since late last night and has had no improvement..... aohhh and he is getting over an infection that involved his male private are, he lost ALOT of weight fighting that .... he also has a habit of only sitting someplace he can hang his head off of like the edge of bed or a table etc

Your boy is in serious trouble. You need to take him to a vet asap. If he can't be helped, at least they can put him to sleep, end his suffering. Gasping for air is terrifying and painful. :( I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Please do take him now.

He may have a very serious resp. infection
He is likely hanging his head over things to try to breath easier.
If it is not too late he needs to be put on antibiotics and may require other meds as well

He may need to be humanely put to sleep (gas/oxygen mix used for surgery, when unconscious to at least a surgical level then injected usually in the abdomen or liver, kept unconscious with the gas/oxygen mix until he is dead. - Most vets do not know how to do it properly so you need to make sure it is done right. A conscious rat can not be injected in the heart - this is so cruel it is illegal in some places)

Have you held his sides to your ears to listen to his breathing? any roughness, constriction, wheezes, rattles, gurgles, crackles are all signs of a respiratory infection.

Drooling is something that rats do during a seizure (inability to swallow) they can get quite wet down their chin and chest even. Did he rear up and bat at the air did you see?
