Even though it didn't all work out as I had planned, I'm going to miss this bad boy. I feel bad that I never got to know him and I feel like I may not have given him enough when he needed. I wish I'd been able to give him a long and happy life and I feel like I've failed him. I'm sorry big boy

From the sounds of the last thread, it seems very possible that there may have been something neurologically wrong with him -- so there may have been nothing to be done, anyway. You did the best you could for him, and got him out of a bad situation.
