They really look like baby rats now! We are keeping the two little boys :) my sister is keeping the blue and white boy (Garrus) and I am keeping the white boy (Mordin). We have a home for two of the girls and now we just need homes for the two other girls :) then we have to see about Vestas babies!

Yes. This is where they get that mousey face. And they have the little upturn in their nose. It's my fave stage. They start moving more on their own and start looking like a rat.
They do grow fast though. I can't believe my bubs are all moving on and out already

He is much lighter now. I don't know all the exact different blues. He was just that shading when he was tiny

an american blue is usually lighter and has a lighter basecoat (when you part the fur) or seen on the muzzle.

The russian blue is more slate coloured and has the same colour basecoat as the topcoat.

They are both beautiful, but I always have to laugh when I hear of wannabe breeders saying "but I bred a russian blue to an american blue and got a litter of black babies???" LOL

Yes, that is one that that I don't think I will ever figure out! The color seems so complicated, I can't even figure out what Vesta is as all the tan colors look alike to me lol

So does that mean that all of Vestas babies will have standard ears as well?

Yes the blue and white boy Garrus crawled out of the igloo this morning, there is a little chew log in the entrance and he climbed over it :)

They are so cute! In the picture with the three white ones lined up they are all grooming their faces :) And then one of the blue and white girls has her eyes open already!! When we put them back into the igloo Mordin crawled over the chew long at the entrance, changed his mind and went right back into the igloo. I don't know if I am ready for them to grow up so fast lol

The local rattery here has been trying to get Russian blues but I think she has been using American blue becaus2 they are all that silver colour or come out smeeze. I think she has interbred too many of her smeeze lines

Atlas is certainly American blue. He is that almost lavender grey

Don't tell me where you live I may have to come kidnap that chunky pew on the left there. Precious!!!
Ming would do that too. Block the opening to keep busy babies in. They eventually got strong enough to push the edge of the igloo up and slip out

Lol she would be lucky to have such a great home! She is definetely ahead of the group with exploring. We did the first supervised visit with the other girls, it went really well! Mom was relaxed, Rue cleaned them, and Rhey went and laid with them :) Little Garrus has an adorable blue spot on his belly, and they are all exploring around outside the igloo.

I would love to have her. But we are trying to stay male only now. For the short time that will last haha
Congrats lucky babies in already having a home.

Lol I love the boys, completely content to walk between me and my sister on the couch and then cuddle! But the girls are so much fun, It's great having both :)
