Ratty Christmas ornament: a real little work of art!

One of my sisters found this beautiful ornament in a gallery in (wait for it) Alberta! I was thrilled to unwrap it, and I hope to have it out all year around.....

I don't have it hanging yet. The green thread holds it at an angle:

That is most beautiful and a true rat, not a mouse passing as a rat but a real rat. I love it!!!

It's about 3.5" high, and the ratty is about 3.5" wide from nose to tail.

In Alberta?

not only that it was done by an Alberta artist but that is was a realistic depiction of a rat.

I have been given other pieces by the same artist. She chooses animals other than the typical "cute" ones. For example my sister has also sent me a frog angel and a gorilla angel (complete with halos!) ornaments. So a rat was a good choice for Alberta.
