Hey everyone,
this is my first post on this forum. I have 7 rats and is a first time rat owner my very first rat I had just died in August, his brother soon then got sick couple of days later. He's now better and is 3 years old. Strange thing is soon after hes finished his baytril he started this weird noise. The noise only happens when he is sleeping. It might of happened before the baytril but I never noticed is till a couple of days ago.

I uploaded a video I recorded of the noise. anyone know what it could be? is it normal?

My Alice does the same thing, it's a respiratory thing when they're congested. Alice's flares up every now and then. I took her to the vet today and the doc said her lungs are quite congested and if not treated with Baytril right away could lead to her getting Phenomena. I'm no expert and I'm sure others on here will have way better advice but I would get him back to a vet and on more baytril.

It's definitely not a normal sound. I'd go back to the vet and ask for more Baytril and add Doxy as well.
Now, I do have a boy who does this off and on and once I did the Baytril/doxy treatment, I can keep it under control with just the doxy.
