Not explicitly rats, but this Etsy store makes little statuettes of animals, and does custom pets, so you could get your rats! The only problem is that it's kind of pricey, but it could be a really nice gift for an animal lover, or a nice way to memorialize a passed pet.

needle felt item are always expensive because the materials aren't cheap, and it does take time and skills to achieve life like animals with that medium :)

Another really cute, but kinda pricey, rat related thing on Etsy. But this one is definitely a rat!

those rats are really cute but def expensive

I was actually thinking that that's a good price! Most decent needle felted animals I've seen, even little ones, near $100.

Oh wow! I'm not familiar with needle felting in general, so I don't know what sort of materials or work goes into making them, but $40 cheaper sounds pretty good to me. My favorite thing about them is how life-sized they are. I typically feel that "rat" stuffed animals and statuettes and stuff like that are either exaggeratedly large or smaller than the average female.

See, this one is quite a bit cheaper, but no where near the same detail or quality as the rat: http://www.etsy.com/listing/86464471/li ... t=handmade

This bear is pricey, but again not nearly at the same detail as the rat... he's pretty big though : http://www.etsy.com/listing/62996858/ne ... t=handmade

These are quite expensive, but look at the detail on the pig's face!! http://www.etsy.com/listing/63900296/cu ... t=handmade

Then there's these babies... very pricey but excellent detail: http://www.etsy.com/listing/76280518/on ... t=handmade
& http://www.etsy.com/listing/45619960/oo ... -miniature

The fact that the original rat is posable as well, is REALLY cool to me.

I actually know nothing about the process but was looking at getting a needle felted portrait of my friend's dog for Christmas last year. But I was pretty broke and couldn't afford one from one of the better designers. So like I said... was surprised at the price of those sweet little rats since they look pretty excellent!

*back to regular programming* LOL
