Hello, I adopted this boy, Simon, who was a rescue. He was rescued from this family who refused to touch him. Basically they had him and his brother in a cage that they refused to clean cuz they were afraid of catching diseases from them. Their rescuer told me the cage was just so horribly disgusting. Rat poop covering the whole floor. I have no idea what they fed them but I'm guessing not quality food. He is about 2 years old and spent a huge part of his life in neglected. His and his brother's teeth are white unlike my other rats. I'm guessing this is because they spent such a huge part of their life without any quality food? Anyway. When he first came home I checked his teeth, one of his upper teeth was a little shorter than the other and one of his bottom teeth was a little longer than the other. I just decided to keep an eye on it to make sure the bottom tooth didn't grow out of proportion. Today I checked his mouth and one of the upper teeth just isn't there anymore lol. Is this normal? Any idea of what may have caused this? Is it going to grow back? Thank you.
