So my girls have pretty much demolished the remaining cushions on the mechanical bits of their silent spinner.
The wheel still spins of course, just makes noise.
I've come to hate that wheel though, because I find it just tends to be a poop and pee trap and everything gets worked into the crevices between the two halves of the wheel (design flaw much?). Skogul has pretty much decided the wheel is her litter box and that's the end of it lol.
Finding my DIY replacements have been near impossible as well, so I'm looking into other replacements that don't have the same cushion/rubber bits.
Does anyone have any experience with some of the stainless steel chinchilla wheels? Or perhaps the bucket-type wheels?
On a bright note, I caught old chunky Skathi running on the wheel for the first time
