New Bedding/Hammies for My Rat Kids

Stopped at the arts and crafts store today, you know, to just "look" :giggle: . I found the cutest owl cotton fabric (I am OBSESSED with owls, btw) and some coordinating fleece, so I made a few pieces for my ratties. I also picked up a grommet set and did my first "grommeting" ever! All the great hammies, cubes and sleepers I have seen on The Shack have inspired me to dust off my Singer and get sewing!

Three pieces

Flat hammie

Lined pocket (to attach to the side of their cage)

Set Up (on another note, can't wait until I get a bigger cage)

The kids were so busy popcorning all over the place, only got a few good shots of them modeling

Thanks! The owl fabric was like a beacon in the store, I zoooomed over to it! Since it is so girly, I chose blue as my fleece liner, Gotta do something "manly" for my lone boy!

Thanks for the encouragement! Now that I have one "good" set (all my others are pretty chewed up), I want to make another set so I have a nice set to swap out when needed. . . guess I will need to go fabric shopping :bunnydance:

I have seen some other nice owl fabrics. Do you know where the on-line fabric stores are? If not, there is a fabric thread for fabric-aholics. There are several on this forum, which is handy for hammockaholics like me. :LOL:
