My boys are getting really sharp nails, I have the scratches around my neck to prove it, heehee. How can I make it non traumatic and as easy as possible to clip them? I do have baby nail clippers, plus I cut my cat's claws frequently so I pretty much know how not to injure their toes. I'm just nervous because rats have such delicate tiny feet.

One of my girls you can give a largish treat and she will let you clip whatever, but the others, not so into it. Try putting something rough in their cage that will wear down their nails, somewhere that they have to climb on it to get to another level or something. that should help.

I sometimes clip the rat nails with nail clippers or cat clippers. Just do the tips.
