Has there been a recent? A new rat(s) in the cage? That can sometimes do that, or did you change their out times, or maybe not with them that much? Rats can become somewhat depressed and mellow out but it usually doesn't last.

It could very well be the new dog and the fact that they are not getting regular run time. Some rats really hate change. Hopefully she will get "used" to it and will come back to her normal self.

It really sucks that you don't have any vets. :sad3:

In regards to Debbie's lump... I just did a search for "vet and Singapore" and came accross this: http://www.hrss.net/aar/health/health_vets.html. I know these are vets recommended by the House Rabbit Society (Singapore), but they may have some experience with rats, or be willing to learn about rats, or be able to suggest a more suitable vet for you. I'd also recommend this book http://www.dapper.com.au/rathealthcare.htm and if possible, perhaps take this book with you to one of the recommended rabbit vets.

Hopefully Marie is just mellowing with age, although she is still a youngester. Keep an eye out for other signs like puffed up fur and loss of appetite.
