Lump on throat, not SDA

So about two weeks ago I posted about my rat on here having a lump on her throat and I was told it was most likely SDA (which I agreed with) so I followed the procedure for that with antibiotics and ibuprofen. However, I haven’t noticed any significant lack of appetite or energy, especially from the two not displaying symptoms. The one with the lump seems to be sleeping a bit more and sometimes she won’t accept treats (but that isn’t totally out of character) but she’s still running on her wheel and eating her meals. In addition, when ratphoning, I didn’t hear anything concerning in any of their breathing. I’m thinking it’s not SDA anymore because it’s been over a week and the lump is still there and I think it might even be growing. At this point I think I should find an exotic vet to take a look at her. But does anyone have any ideas about what else this could be? Hoping it’s something that can be drained as a really don’t want to put her under.

This can also be a tumour, in which case you should consult a vet that specialises in rats if it is not SDA. I recommend a vet that treats rats often so they know what they are looking at.

It could also be an abcess maybe - sometimes they get bitten and that happens and it can go away on its own, but it looks a lot less likely. . . .
Definitely taking her to a vet at this point. I'm just really hoping it's an abscess or something that can be easily drained because when I was searching for a vet last year I couldn't find any that specialized in rats or had significant experience. So I wouldn't trust them to put her under if it's a tumor that needs to be removed. Hopefully, I can find someone competent. Thank you for your info!

that looks like a mass. Bad location UNLESS when you feel where its attached is more high up on the chest than the actual neck. Then there's a chance its a mammary tumour.

Do you have a pic of her standing normally with it?
