I thought I would post this here. My sister in law has put her truck on www.cliffyourride.ca. She and her husband bought this truck and it broke down on the way home (they bought it in Toronto 2 hours away). Why they didn't bring it back right then I have no clue, but this was basically just the start of the problems:

I would love to see this truck driven off a cliff!! It has been nothing but a lemon since we bought it in January. Yes, it might look good, but that’s about all. It’s spent more time in the shop then in our drive way. We bought it certified and e-tested, thought we got it for a good deal.
WE DIDNT EVEN MAKE IT HOME FROM THE DEALER WHEN IT BROKE DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY.
Had to be towed back to dealer, he had it for 5 days, and charged us for new batteries. It was running rough, we thought it just need oil change and new filters. So we bring it from dealer to local FORD. YES, SAME DAY WE PICKED IT UP. They do the work and take it for a spin.
BREAKS DOWN ON THE TEST DRIVE.
They tell us it needs EGR sensor, one injector, and a turbo hose. Also it needs commercial sticker because of weight. Pay $$ to have that done. Call dealer, he say to bring it back and he’ll fix it (I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS THIS IS AN HOUR AND A HALF, ONE WAY). He has it for 7 days tells us to pick it up.
NOTHING WAS BEEN FIXED (however he did wash the truck). LMAO
We bring it back to local FORD, get EGR sensor done, pay more $$. We still have to have injector done, but we are so sick of this truck, don’t even want it anymore. Tried to trade it in on a newer one, but they will only give us half of what we paid for it in January (plus all the extra repair bills). I would so love to drive this truck off a cliff and buy a new one, PLEASE HELP ME!

It's the newest one there. Nicole Wayne's 2006 Ford F350.

If you want to vote that would be awesome.

Mom and Dad have had one ford... a Mercury Cougar, in the first month it was in the shop 9 times. Then they decided to trade it in and that Grand Am lasted then 5 years

I've always had fords. (although I've only ever had two cars) Never had any real serious problems like all that. It sucks I hope things work out for your sister.

Reminds me of two of Dad's favourite sayings growing up. FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily OR FORD = Found On Road Dead
Obviously Dad was a Chevy man.

:wink2:

My 94 Escort lasted 13 years - no lie. and no one can EVER tell me that there was anything wrong with the 69-72 Mustangs....give me a 69 fastback or a 72 Boss and I would stop eating just to rent a garage for her  (mind you im an overall 69-72 classics fan  really good years for Chev too)

We have bought Fords for 20+ years, no issues. Had a 97 Escort that we got rid of with 160k miles on it, only thing we ever had to do was basic stuff..brakes, oil, battery!

I don't ever blame a particular car maker, it's really the luck of the draw on some of them. I suggest checking to see what day of the week your vehicle was made :giggle: NEVER EVER buy anything made on a Monday or a Friday.
