I add flaxseed oil to alot of my food and I am always wondering if its good for rats in small amounts...perhaps adding a few drops to their veggies or something. Flaxseeds contain high levels of lignans and Omega-3 fatty acids. Lignans have been known to benefit the heart and possess anti-cancer properties. Flaxseed is also high in fiber. Does anyone know if its safe for rats, or if it benefits them i anyway?

If you use the kind that is in a dark bottle kept in the fridge, then yes, it's full of excellent nutrients and would certainly benefit the rats. A few drops in their food should do it.
