I've been making sandwiches lately that require dill herb, but I always have some left over that I won't be able to use before it goes bad. So I've been using the extra as a makeshift rat toy, kinda like those cat toys with the feathered ends. And boyo, the ratties really go for it - even my big boys will rear up on their hind feet to make a grab for it.

But once the dill fronds are caught, most of my ratties start munching on the ends. Is that ok in moderation?

I think it's ok. There was a small study made were dill weed extract was given to rats and it proved to be a heart protective agent, lowering cholesterol and triglycerides.
