I got Henry during a very difficult time in my life.
He was just a little baby. I didn't know he was carrying a lethal disease. He didn't know I was an addict and in a toxic relationship. We pulled through together. He was there for me - always non-judgemental, licky, bouncy and stubborn as a mule - through getting clean, lifestyle changes, moving cities, career changes... everything. So many things happened in the two years I had him and he was just himself, always the same.
I don't want to talk about the pituitary tumor or how hard his last few weeks were. I just want to say that I am so thankful that I found him and decided to take him home. He was a best friend. He was a constant, radiant light in my life.
Thank you, Henry, for sharing your life with me. I promise to keep improving, stay stable and never go back to who I was when you found me. I'll always remember you... I hope everyone gets to have a friend like you in their lifetime.
I'm just going to leave a few videos here...
Goodbye, Henry baby.
