Has anyone tried this kitchen scale from Costco?

Costco (in Canada) has a 5kg kitchen scale with large round platform for $19.99. Brand is Kamenstein. Package doesn't say how finely it measures (probably not to the nearest gram), so not useful for a pregnancy watch, but it's an affordable alternative to the more accurate postal scales (mine was $40+ ten years ago).

Take a look around a bit. I got my scale which measures to the nearest gram at walmart for around $25. Look in the kitchen section or even on amazon or eBay. There are some pretty good ones now that aren't too terribly priced. It might be worth it in the long run to get a scale that measures to the nearest gram. I also watch what kind of battery it takes, if the replacement battery is almost the cost of a new scale then I refuse to buy it (I have very few electronics that take anything other then a AA or AAA).
