Giving a rat lasix

I was given lasix tablets for my rat with directions to give 1/20th of a tablet. I have crushed a tablet and am wondering how to mix it with something to get the dosing accurate.

I'm just wondering what people typically suspend lasix in and whether it's stored in the fridge or not?

If you mix it in 2 mls of water then 0.1 ml would be 1/20

I get Lasix from my vet or by prescription from the vet at a pharmacy, as a liquid
so no personal experience with Lasix in pill form

Hopefully it will dissolve ok. Sometimes pills don't because they may be coated
Once mixed it will need to be kept in the fridge
Your vet should be able to tell you how long it will be good for but it will likely only be a few days
You can buy a base to mix things in from a pharmacy
