Eye Problem

Well tonight when I got the boys out for free range I noticed that Moota seems to have something wrong with his eye. I will call the vets in the morning but in the mean time does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

I have a photo but its not very good:

Erm its like his eye has went into his head

Is his face swollen on that side? My Oscar has a lump and it makes his eye look like it's sunken.

No it doesnt look or feel swollen

Does it look like he might have scratched it somehow?

Thats what I thought might have happened but its hard to tell. I cant see any scratches but I can hardly see his eye so there might be.

I'd bring him to the vet and get some good eye drops and the vet might be able to see a scratch if he puts dye in the eye. If it's serious, he might need antibiotics. Hopefully, that's all that it is and nothing more serious.

If the face isn't swollen and the eye has shrunk into the head, prepare yourself for a punctured eyeball...often with abs and pain meds (to prevent swelling and scratching the discomfort) these eyes will just shrink with no issues.

Your vet will be able to tell you more though.

Oh god that sounds awful :shock: .

I called the vets this morning and I cant get an appointment till thursday :gaah: .
