Doxy's anti-inflammatory effects: link to article

Someone posted a while back that their vet had told them about the anti-inflammatory properties of doxycycline. Evidently there was a recent article.

I hadn't heard any more since, and I couldn't find any reference to the article on the Forum, so I did a google and found something right away:

Thanks Godmother! I tried reading it last night and thought better of it. Tried again this morning... I think I'll try and get my son to translate it. lol
I think the gist of it is that it is anti-inflammatory and is good to use specifically against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Bacillus anthracis, and Yersinia pestis.

I'm moving this over to the reference area. It's good to keep on hand.

Staph Aureus? Really? Thats the bacteria that is often in our regular ratty abscesses and even bumblefoot.
